The Creation Museum

After we went to the Defending the faith conference, we went to the Creation Museum in Kentucky.

This is the front view of the building.

On the main floor of the museum there was a skeleton of a Mastodon.

There was also a water fall with a stream at the bottom with lots of turtles and fish in the stream. There was a boy playing beside the stream.

There was also a girl, she was playing beside some dinosaurs. Wouldn't it be amazing to have no fear of dinosaurs.

We entered the tour through a hall that looked like a cave or a canyon.

From left two right: Carter, Hannah and Bradley
Carter and Bradley did some rubbings of a dinosaur skeleton.

Bradley with his picture.

There was all sorts of fossils at the Museum. This is a fossil of dinosaur eggs.

Carter loves his dinosaurs.

We walked slowly through time and learned about history and the important people who helped teach it. Like Moses and David.

This is what they first used to print bibles.

Martin Luther nailing the 95 thesis on the Catholic church door.

The next part of the museum was the garden of Eden.

Here is the tree of life.

Adam was naming the animals.

After sin entered the world Cain killed Abel because he was jealous of him.

This is Methuselah he lived to be 969 years old he was alive when Adam was alive, he also was still alive when Noah was alive.

Then we learned about Noah, and the ark that God told him to make.

This is a to scale model of the inside of the ark.

Carter and Bradley did a quiz about the ark.

There was a worker hammering nails in the ark. The room that we were in was a scale size of the ark and there was builders working on it.

There was also builders on the outside of the ark.

Then we finished our tour with the dinosaur den!

Everyone loved the Creation Museum, it was lots of fun.

Defending the Faith Conference

In July we went on vacation to the Defending the Faith Conference in Tennessee. We wanted to leave the house at 5:00 AM but we left 6:00 AM due to all the last minute items that we had to get.

Around 7:00 AM we stoped at a rest area to stretch out our legs. Around 9:00 AM we stoped at a Cracker Barrel and ate breakfast.

That is one huge guitar!

We finally made it to Tennessee.

Hayden, Bradley, Hannah, Carter and me (Heather).

We stayed at The Resort At Governors Crossing. It was a lot of fun.

The next day we went to the conference and went to lots of seminars.

Hannah was ready to run after sitting down for so long.

Voddie Baucham was one of the Key note speakers.

This is what the traffic looked like. I have never seen so much in my life!

Ken Ham was another Key note speaker.

The conference was four days long. On the last day we got a picture with Ken Ham. Then we left Tennessee and went on our way to Kentucky to go to the Creation Museum.

At the Campground for 4th of July

Hannah, Carter and Bradley all enjoyed playing in the big inner tube that my Dad brought down that weekend.
Hannah is always smiling when I take pictures of her. She is so cute

Everyone loves to swing in the hammock. We have already replaced most of the strings at the ends of each side because they have broken.

Carter was trying to make a sling shot but it didn't really go as planned.

That night there was huge fire works across the river we went down to the boat docks and watched the show.

After we watched all the fire works we went back to our camper and did some sparklers.

The next morning Dad and Hayden went fishing and Mom, Bradley, Carter, Hannah and I went on a golf cart ride.

Dad and Hayden were out most of the day and they caught two flounders that they could keep. They also caught some blue fish but they weren't big enough to keep.

Hannah thought the fish were very interesting.

When we got back to the camper Hannah and I found a Caterpillar.

Hannah got brave enough to touch it with a leaf and when she did it would jump all over the place. It was very funny to watch.

Fresh Tomatoes

This Butterfly was sitting in the shade on our porch.

That day Hannah was helping me water the tomato plants. She really likes to carry the bottles of water to the tomato plants.

Here is some of the tomatoes.

That is our first ripe one.

These are still growing.

Hannah picked this tomato.
