Summer months...

I have so many things I have not posted about this year.  So I put some pictures together from the past few months.

May:
The boys helped dad a lot this year cutting up all the trees that have fallen down in our woods.

Dad and Hayden would cut a tree up, then the boys load it onto the tractor.  Hayden drives it up to the wood shed and the boys unload and stack it there.  It is a lot of hard work but it is much appreciated because that wood is used later to heat our house and water in the winter.

Hannah found a stump almost as tall as her when we were walking though the woods.

Taking a walk.

Sword fighting practice. :) The boys made swords out of sticks and duck tape, and it seemed to work pretty good.

Hannah and Fayth. (best friends)

Elijah loves his powerwheel, and he drives it like a pro too, he can even drive it backwards now, which is pretty scary to watch. :)

Going to see the chickens.

We have been enjoying fresh eggs so much since we got our chickens.  We started out with 12, but now we only have 8 because the raccoons got some.

July:
Dad built the kids a new play set over the summer since our old one was falling apart.  They have really been enjoying it.

Hannah learned how to do the monkey bars and she loves it, she can now do it like a pro.  It reminds me of how I was at her age. :)

The boys (Brad and Carter) favorite thing is to see who can jump the highest off the swing, or swing the highest, or anything along those lines.  It's kind of scary to watch.

Fayth loves swingin'.

August:

This year we did a garden for the first time.  We grew tomatoes, green beans, peas, peppers, pumpkins, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach and broccoli, they all turned out really good.  We also grew some other things like corn, carrots, onions, cabbage, ect... but that stuff didn't do so well this year.  The corn and carrots were not very sweet and the cabbage got all ate up by worms when we were on a week long trip.

Fayth learned how to climb and she is now climbing on everything, even the kitchen table (which we don't like)!

Elijah is such a great big brother to Fayth.

There's a glimpse into our summer this year.  It was also filled with trips to WV, TN, PA (for me) and then NC.  We had such a fast summer this year, but it was filled with lots of fun. :)

Fayth's 1st Birthday

I can't believe it has been over a year now since we welcomed little Fayth Jubilee into our family.  Time is flying by.  So finally, here is Fayth's 1 year pictures.

And these are picture's from Fayth's birthday.

We found napkins at Joann's that said "Faith" on them and mom turned the "i" into a "y" with a colored pencil.  They turned out perfect and so cute.

We had tator-tot casserole, green beans and baked apples for the birthday lunch. :)

Then it was time for cake!

She wasn't to sure about the candle. :)

Fayth didn't know what to do with the cake, but then she found the little balls on the side and started picking them off and eating them.
Since she didn't destroy it we decided to save it for later.

I think Fayth's favorite part of her birthday was opening presents because she loves paper.
We got her a dog called Violet.  Elijah also has one called Scout which they both loved so we knew she would like it.
Reading her card. :)  I think she just wanted to hold it.

Elijah went and got his dog too so they could both play with them.

After that we all got some cake and gave Fayth a piece too.

I don't think she has ever had anything so sweet before.  She loved it.

I also took a pic of Fayth in the same place that I took a picture of her when she was a newborn.

She has grown sooo much.

I also took Fayth outside and let her dig into her cake. :)

 She loved it.

Heather
